High Meadow is a cheerful sunny little 3-bedroom cottage located in The Green Mountain National Forest area in Goshen Vermont with water and mountain views. This unique location offers visitors the opportunity to commune and reconnect with quiet pristine nature. Goshen is a hiking, fishing, mountain biking, snow shoeing and cross-country skiing paradise with many miles of well-maintained trails, waterways and lakes. Cross country ski/snowshoe rentals are within walking distance. Patrice will be happy to share her knowledge of area attractions. In addition High Meadow Bed and Breakfast is located 25 minutes southeast of Middlebury College and 15 minutes from the famous Breadloaf Writer's Conference Center. The nearby valley towns of Brandon and Middlebury offer unique eateries, shops, galleries and theaters, (not to mention the magnificent surrounding scenery of Lake Champlain and the unspoiled historic villages).The owner of High Meadow is an artist and degreed chef who has lived around the world. Patrice emphasizes organic whole foods and grows much of what she serves herself. Friendly pet chickens supply the organic eggs. The atmosphere is very casual and guests become part of the home during their stay. Patrice will make dinners by arrangement from the simple to the elaborate.
